This year’s Scavenger Hunt will be in a new location–Lincoln, MA (about 25 min west). Lincoln has a huge trail network, and more importantly trail markers!

Who: A total of up to 5 teams of 4 runners each.  (20 people max)

What: A trail run scavenger hunt for DSR.

When: April 9, 2022, 10:00 AM. 

How much: $15

Where: Lincoln Station, Lincoln, MA

How it Works: Each team will be given a map and a list of intersection marker numbers.  Your team’s goal is to find each marker and take a group picture with it.  There will also be added bonus locations that teams can navigate to.  Teams can expect to run about 10 miles as part of the event.  The possible routes aren’t too technical but a bit of trail running experience is ideal.

Scoring: Teams are awarded 5 points for each marker, and 2 points for bonus locations. Most points win, if there is a tie in points fastest completion time wins. The winning team will get some sort of prize, and of course most importantly, bragging rights 🙂

Location specifics: The embedded Google map shows the specific area we will be “scavenging” within. A link to Lincoln’s official trail map is also provided below, which has trails and intersection markers. The markers you’ll be looking for will be given at the start of the event.  It is in the best interest of all participants to familiarize yourselves with these maps.

Carpooling: As not all of our members have vehicles, carpooling will be needed.  The registration page, linked below, will have a list of participants that you can reach out to for rides. Also our FB event page can be a place to find a lift. Or if that fails, just reach out to us and we will help you the best we can.
